Custom arrangements are relatively expensive because of the time, effort, and inspiration that go into them, but if you want a certain song for a wedding or other special occasion and can’t find it otherwise, they are worth it. Before having a song custom arranged, you might want to consider using a piano arrangement – some of them can be played on the lever harp, but not all of them! Be sure to check with your harpist if you are using piano music, to be sure he or she can play it.<br>Shirley Starke<br>of Valkyrie Publications will arrange your song for harp and voice and send the arrangement to you in .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format by email or on CD, as well as up to 12 copies printed on ivory paper as 4-page, 8 1/2" x 11" sheet music. The music will include words, melody for voice, a full arrangement for the lever or pedal harp (which can also be played on the piano), and chord symbols. It will have a cover page if space permits; for examples, see the sheet music in our eBay store.<br>The music will be entered into a computer using the<br>Finale<br>software program, and the finished music will be as professional and easy to read as Shirley's books and music sold by<br>Valkyrie Publications<br>,<br>our eBay store<br>, and others. The copyright will belong to Valkyrie Publications unless a different agreement is made. We are very flexible about this: if we are arranging a favorite song for a wedding, we would like to share it with others, but if we are arranging something you wrote, of course the entire copyright belongs to you!<br>Shirley will need a copy of the words and melody from you, unless she can find them on the internet. Please allow at least four weeks if you are ordering it between January 1 and March 15, or six weeks at other times of the year.
